Black Cohosh Root

Black Cohosh is used for gynecological disorders as well as kidney ailments. While the dried chopped root is usually decocted to make teas and tinctures.

Black Cohosh Root can: 

• Reduce musculoskeletal pain and spasms.
• Support liver function.
• Support the nervous system.
• Tonify the kidney and uterus.

It also helps to reduce pain associated with: 

•  Arthritis and muscle problems.
• Menstruation including cramps, menopause, hot flashes. 
• Nervous spasms and related pain.
• Symptoms of  (PMS), including headaches and body aches.
• Simmer 1 cup of water with 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of dried black cohosh root.
• Keep on stove top for 10 minutes to 15 minutes.
• Strain and drink up to three cups per day.
