Gongoli, also known as West African Vetiver root, Khamare, or Cepp. This root has been used for generations across West Africa as part of traditional women’s self-care and intimate wellness practices.
Gongoli is often enjoyed as an herbal infusion and is traditionally associated with women’s intimate freshness, menstrual comfort, relaxation, and sensual wellness. It is also popularly known in some West African traditions as a “fertility root” and an aphrodisiac.

Cold Infusion:
Place a clean piece of Gongoli root in a clean bottle or vessel. Add room-temperature drinking water and allow it to infuse for approximately 24 hours. Refrigerate if desired and enjoy chilled.
Quick Infusion:
For a faster preparation, use hot water and allow the root to steep for 1 hour.
Tea Preparation:
You can also simmer the root gently in water and enjoy it as an herbal tea.
The same root can traditionally be reused 2–3 times, depending on the strength and flavor of each infusion.
